DC v KXIP match update: One match, that's all it takes for the first Super Over final in the 2020 Dream11 Indian Premier League (IPL), and the Delhi Capitals playing against Kings XI on Sunday at the Dubai cricket stadium. Punjab can win.
It took KXIP 158 to win. He started carefully and scored 30 of 26 balls. Then DC took 4 wickets for 5 lines. First, Mohit Sharma overthrew Rahul for 21 years.
R Ashwin, who played bowling in the final power play, then released Karun Nair and Nicholas Pooran. Ashwin, however, dives to save the run, injuring himself on the same final ball.
While Ashwin had to leave the pitch, Kagiso Rabada sent out Glenn Maxwell for 1. KXIP lost one more goal when Sarfaraz Khan left shortly after his country broke the draw mark of 50.
Agarwal, who opened the hitter with Rahul, and K Gowtham then added 46 tracks and hit KXIP after 100. However, the partnership was broken when Rabada picked his second goal and K Gowtham turned him down.
Agarwal, who raises his fifties by six in the 18th minute despite keeping the hopes of KXIP alive. The one on the right walks firmly between the gates and clears the ropes very easily in death.
KXIP picked up 25 songs in the last 2 overs and Mayank almost pulled it out. With a draw and the KXIP needed to score 1v2, Mayank slid onto the penultimate ball in the final. Stoinis then fired Chris Joran while Rabada held the hook with a short square foot to put the game on a super over for a push.
Rabada, who had previously taken two ropes in a 4-over spell, then took KL Rahul and Nicholas Pooran and limited KXIP to 2. DC, who took 3 to win a Super Over game without losing a goal.
Previously, KXIP had met earlier after deciding to qualify as DC who lost to Shikhar Dhawan due to exhaustion. Shimron Hetmyer accepted Mohammad Shami's early bowling postponement on his DC debut. But the far-right didn't have to wait too long to attack, leaving Hetmeier and Prithvi Shaw free in their second game to reduce DC to 13/3 after 4 overs.
After that, Capt. Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant began to recover the innings. The two had 50 partnerships on the 12th before Ayer hit Gowtham for two-sixes on the 13th, bringing DC closer to 80.
However, the partnership was cut short, thanks to IPL goalkeeper Ravi Bishnoy's debut when he fired a Pant for 31. Shami, who scored three overs in the power play, then returned to attack and scored his third as Ayer died for 39.
Patel's Aksar is the next person to run away after Sheldon Cotrel, another IPL debutant who got the DC station wagon behind the door. The left-handed player adds another goal to the final ball count of the spell and rejects R Ashwin.
DC needs something special and Marcus Stoinis delivers and how. The Australian car attacked overall, scoring 53 of 21 balls with 7 fours and 3 six.
